COMPULSORY BASIC TRAINING (CBT) COURSE

Join the thousands of students to obtain their CBT via Ridewell Training over the last 30 years. Experience goes a long way when it comes to bike tuition, so you're in the best hands at Ridewell.

A current CBT certificate is required by holders of provisional driving licences in order to ride a moped or learner motorcycle.

Full car licence holders need a CBT to ride learner motorcycles but may ride a moped without a CBT if the licence was gained before Feb 1st 2001, although training is advised.

Those passing the car test after this date need to complete a CBT course before riding a moped or motorcycle. A CBT only ever allows the holder to ride a motorcycle of up to 125cc.

A CBT is also required before taking a full licence test.
